Below are details on how to notify your availability, plus how our selection process works for all of our Saturday, Sunday and midweek sides. Please note that paid up members will always be selected first!
NEW MEtHOD - TEAMER
In 2020 we are changing the way we track player availability to help make the entire selection process a more cohesive system. We are using an a tool called Teamer, and you can can sign up online here. Once you have signed up and requested access you can use this in two different ways:
a) Download the Teamer app onto your phone
b) Use via the Teamer website
a) Download the Teamer app onto your phone

HOW DOES TEAMER WORK?
- Once you have requested access, you will not be immediately able to view fixtures until you have been accepted by the admin. We will try to do this as quickly as possible.
- After acceptance, you will be able to view all fixtures that have been organised thus far, Please note that you will then begin to receive notifications asking for your availability for individual dates. This will usually be on a one off basis when you initially join, but other fixtures will be added throughout the season and you will receive a notification.
- You should send the email notifications to your junk mail if the notifications annoy you, and just manage your availability either within the app or via the website.
- If you cannot accept / decline an individual fixture, this is because it has not been enabled yet.
HOW DOES SELECTION WORK -
SATURDAY Teams (1st XI, 2ND XI, 3RD XI, 4TH XI)
When do I need to update Teamer by?
By 5pm on Monday. This gives us time to find additional players if we have poor availability, or to notify opposition teams if we may have to cancel a fixture. It also helps to give your captains a less stressful week if your availability is known early!
Selection for Saturdays is a collective process, so rather than signing up for individual fixtures you are making yourself available for Saturday selection generally. Captains will advertise games as normal to their regular squads and we will try to take into account individual preferences where possible. We are aiming to make this an easier process for everyone concerned so speak to your regular team captain if you have any concerns.
What if I become available after the Monday 5pm deadline?
Please do update Teamer with your availability ASAP. If we do not yet have the full amount of players across the club then you will still be selected. If we do already have enough players, then you will be the first to be asked if there are any drop outs during the week.
Who will priority be given to?
Paid up club members. Non members will only be selected if there are spaces available across the club.
When will the captains pick the sides?
By 10pm on Wednesday after training, but preferably before. If availability is good, this is likely to be earlier. If availability is poor, this gives us time to find additional players before confirming the teams.
When will I hear if I have been selected?
By 5pm on Thursday, but preferably before. Again if availability is good, this is likely to be earlier. If availability is poor, then provisional teams will be named whilst we search for additional players to fill out sides.
What if I haven't been selected?
In the (very rare) case of someone not being selected for a Saturday side if you made yourself available before the Monday 5pm deadline, you will be guaranteed selection for the Sunday XI if you are available.
What if I have to drop out after the Monday 5pm deadline?
Please directly contact your team captain immediately. All contact details can be found on the relevant team pages here. We urge anyone dropping out, particularly after teams have been named, to carefully consider this as it can affect all 4 Saturday sides. Please DO NOT just update Teamer if this is after the deadline - you MUST contact the captain directly.

When do I need to update Teamer by?

HOW DOES SELECTION WORK -
MIDWEEK XI & BLITZ T20 XI
When do I need to update Teamer by?
By 5pm, 5 days before a fixture e.g. if the match is on a Wednesday, then the deadline is 5pm Friday. This gives us time to find additional players if we have poor availability, or to notify opposition teams if we may have to cancel a fixture. It also helps to give your captain a less stressful week if your availability is known early!

Who will priority be given to?
Paid up club members, especially those who only play midweek cricket. Non members will only be selected if not enough members are available.
For the Midweek XI (but not the Blitz T20 XI) members who are current Bank staff / pensioners will be prioritised. This is because the opposition for these games are usually other government / city institutions, rather than normal cricket clubs. All other members are welcome to sign up and play however!
When will the captain pick the side?
By 5pm, 4 days before a fixture e.g. if the match is on a Wednesday, then by 5pm on Saturday. If availability is good, this is likely to be earlier. If availability is poor, this gives us time to find additional players before confirming the team.
